GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE SPECIALIZED GOLDEN RETRIEVER DOG SHOW

Organizer: Bulgarian Golden Retriever Club (BGRC)


  1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
    1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the organization and conduct of the specialized cynological exhibition for the Golden Retriever breed, organized by the BGRC.
    2. The show is held in accordance with the regulations of the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) and the BNFK (Bulgarian National Federation of Cynology).
    3. The purpose of the exhibition is to evaluate the exterior qualities of the dogs, promote the breed, and ensure breeding control.
  2. ELIGIBILITY
    1. Only Golden Retrievers with a valid pedigree issued by organizations recognized by the FCI are eligible to participate.
    2. The following dogs are not permitted to enter:
      • Dogs without a pedigree or with an incomplete one.
      • Sick dogs, dogs with parasites, or those showing signs of infectious diseases.
      • Castrated dogs (unless entered in the "Veteran" class or shown hors concours, according to specific regulations).
      • Aggressive dogs that pose a threat to people or other animals.
  3. SHOW CLASSES

    Participants are divided into the following classes (age is determined on the day of the show):

    • Baby Class (3–6 months)
    • Puppy Class (6–9 months)
    • Junior Class (9–18 months)
    • Intermediate Class (15–24 months)
    • Open Class (over 15 months)
    • Working Class (over 15 months) – requires a valid Working Class Certificate (WCC).
    • Champion Class (over 15 months) – requires a confirmed Champion Title certificate.
    • Veteran Class (over 8 years)
  4. REGISTRATION AND FEES
    1. Entries are accepted only in writing via the online registration form or email within the deadlines announced by the BGRC.
    2. Entry fees are determined by the Board of the BGRC and must be paid within the specified timeframe.
    3. In case of "no-show," the entry fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the event is officially cancelled by the organizer.
  5. VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS
    1. Every dog must have a valid Veterinary Passport (International).
    2. A microchip and a valid rabies vaccination (administered at least 21 days prior to the event) are mandatory.
    3. Dogs coming from regions under official quarantine will not be admitted.
  6. CODE OF CONDUCT
    1. Owners must keep their dogs on a leash at all times.
    2. The use of electronic or prong/spike collars is strictly prohibited.
    3. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs within the show grounds.
    4. Any form of physical mistreatment of a dog will lead to immediate disqualification.
  7. JUDGING AND RANKING
    1. Evaluations are performed by a judge approved by the BGRC and licensed by the FCI/BNFK.
    2. The judge’s decision is final and cannot be appealed regarding the expert evaluation.
    3. Complaints are accepted only regarding procedural errors and must be submitted in writing on the day of the show.
  8. LIABILITY
    1. The organizer shall not be held liable for damages caused by dogs to third parties, or for the theft or loss of animals and personal belongings.
    2. The owner bears full material and legal responsibility for the actions of their dog.
  9. DATA PROTECTION AND MEDIA CONSENT
    1. By submitting an entry, participants agree that their personal data (names and dog details) will be processed for the purposes of the show and published in the official catalog.
    2. Photo and video recording will take place during the event. Participants consent to the use of these materials for the promotion of the BGRC’s activities.
